Washington (CNN) - The US Department of Defense is diverting approximately $ 3.6 billion in military construction funds to help build the wall of President Donald Trump on the U.S.-Mexico border.

The Pentagon published on Wednesday the complete list of 127 military construction projects that will lose funds to help build 175 miles (about 281 km) of wall on the southern border.

Projects range from the construction of ammunition training and storage facilities to the repair of access roads to the construction of a school in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, along with an entrance facility to the subway station at the Pentagon.

  • Congressmen are furious after learning how the military will pay for Trump's wall

A little less 1.8 billion dollars allocated to projects for the United States and US territory will be reallocated to the border wall. The United States is also withdrawing funds from several overseas projects, more than 1.8 billion dollars, including the construction of air bases in allied countries such as the United Kingdom and Germany.

When asked about the possible concerns of European allies, Defense Secretary Mark Esper told reporters in London on Thursday that his message is one, to increase the "burden sharing" among the allies in what it concerns military spending, and that other countries should "maybe pay that bill."
