Council of Ministers: Expanding the scope of the Syrian trade and continuing to support the basic materials of the citizens

DAMASCUS, (SANA) -The Council of Ministers has decided to expand the scope of the Syrian Trade Establishment and increase the number of its sales outlets

The Council of Ministers decided to expand the scope of work of the Syrian Trade Establishment and increase the number of its sales outlets in all governorates to reach 3,000 outlets within three months and strengthen its position in the market by providing it with all the basic necessities and provide them to the citizens at reasonable prices and competition and support offers installment of all products at cost.

The Council affirmed that it will continue to support the basic materials of the citizens, promote the national industry, expand the production process and reduce the costs of production inputs to help reduce the prices of local products.

The Council, in its weekly session today chaired by Prime Minister Eng. Imad Khamis, asked the ministries of the Economic Committee to monitor the results of the 61st session of the Damascus International Fair, especially in terms of import, export and trade exchanges with the participating countries and companies. Expanding the spread of the Syrian product locally and abroad.

The Board discussed the reality of the General Organization for Social Insurance and the importance of strengthening its financial position to be able to expand its services base to achieve its goal as a social security institution. Public and private bodies were asked to pay their insurance obligations and contributions in favor of the institution to be able to fulfill its obligations and the Board was tasked to take serious measures to expand its investments and find Strong investment and economic structure and the need to follow up the registration of new establishments belonging to work insurance.

The council also asked the Ministry of Public Works and Housing to set a specific timetable for the completion of youth housing projects in the governorates.The ministry was tasked to study the adoption of modern building systems with large open halls when establishing any government building to achieve the desired economic feasibility of the buildings and taking into account the priorities of the development process.

The Minister of Water Resources, Hussein Arnous, gave a presentation on the completion rates of developmental and service projects in the liberated countryside of Raqqa Governorate.The ministries were tasked with determining the need of their affiliated institutions in these areas of employees and securing their return to their departments in order to support the rehabilitation and development of liberated areas.
