Iraqi security forces today dismantled the largest terrorist network of 75 members who had intended to carry out terrorist operations in Salah al-Din province.
"The hawk cell and the intelligence of Salah al-Din during a pre-emptive operation were able to dismantle the largest terrorist networks in Salah al-Din were planning to carry out terrorist operations inside the province," security expert Fadhel Abu Ragheef told Twitter.
In addition, the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced today the arrest of an Islamic State terrorist in Mosul, indicating that he was a member of the so-called "Soldiers' Court" during the period of control of the extremist organization on the city.
A spokesman for the ministry, Major General Saad Maan, said in a statement that the Al-Hadba police directorate of the Nineveh police headquarters, based on an arrest warrant issued by the judiciary and the cooperation of citizens, had arrested the terrorist.
A security source said that an anti-explosive force dismantled and processed a factory to manufacture explosive devices and explosive materials in the Yarmouk neighborhood east of Mosul.
