"There are hundreds of other people involved," said Jeff Pagliuca, Maxwell's lawyer, citing the court filings associated with the case.

The US District Judge Loretta Preska, did not issue a ruling on the disclosure of documents, but asked the lawyers to consult each other to create a road map on how to proceed in the disclosure process.

The names of the people listed in court documents are unknown, but an anonymous "John Doe" - "John Doe" is the name that is often used to talk about anonymous people in court proceedings in the United States -, which is not related to the Giuffre-Maxwell case, which fears that it may be involved in the case documents, stated in a presentation on Tuesday that non-parties to the case should be protected "against potentially changing, unfair and irremediable disclosures."

Non-seal references to people who are not parties would throw those people at the center of a "media frenzy" and unfairly harm their privacy and reputational interests, "Doe's lawyers argued in his presentation, citing more than 17,000 articles on the Epstein's post in recent weeks.

Non-parties, such as John Doe, may file objections to the disclosure of documents after an arduous review process by the court and the parties' attorneys, Judge Peska said during Wednesday’s conference hearing .

The records include hundreds of pages of investigation reports, at least 29 statements and an address book with "about 1,000 names," Pagliuca told the court.

Hundreds of pages of court documents related to the same defamation case were disclosed in August.

The documents revealed new details of alleged allegations of sexual abuse by Giuffre against billionaire Epstein and several associates, and included accusations by Giuffre that Maxwell ordered him to have sex with former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson and former US senator George Mitchell, among others. Both Richardson and Mitchell have denied the accusations.

Epstein died of suicide the day after the court revealed the new details of the lawsuits against him.

He had previously pleaded not guilty to the charges of federal prosecutors in New York to run a sex trafficking network with underage girls, some as young as 14.
