[8th Reuters]-According to the Daily Telegraph on the 8th, British Prime Minister Johnson is planning to legally prevent the postponement of Britain's withdrawal from the European Union.
The British Parliament approved a bill that would require the government to apply for a postponement of withdrawal until the end of January 2020 if the draft withdrawal agreement agreed with the EU was not approved by the British Parliament by 19 October. According to the Telegraph, Mr. Johnson met on the 8th to prevent these parliamentary movements.
According to the paper, Mr. Johnson will send a letter stating that the government does not want any postponement beyond 31 October, along with a request to extend Article 50 of the EU Basic Convention (Lisbon Treaty).
