On the 8th in the heart of Hong Kong, where protests against the government continue, there was a demonstration that hoped for the early conclusion of the "Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Bill", which is being prepared by the US Party's non-partisan members. After the demonstration, some of the participants' young people collided with the police, blocking the road. In Hong Kong, the amendment to the “Escape Crimes”, which triggered a series of demonstrations, was announced to be withdrawn, but there was no confusion after that, and the weekend demonstrations continued for 14 consecutive weeks.

The demonstration lasted for over three hours from around 2pm in front of the US Consulate in the heart of Hong Kong Island. Participants raised the US flag and “SOS” on paper, repeatedly appealing for the early establishment of the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Bill in the US Parliament and criticizing the Hong Kong government.

After the demonstration, young people in black clothes with iron pipes and gas masks are on the roads near Central, Admiralty and Wan Chai, the political and financial centers of Hong Kong. Barricades were built with iron fences, sealed, and burned on the street. The police have begun to subdue them by firing teardrops.

The US "Human Rights / Democracy Bill" was proposed by a bipartisan member of the US Congress in response to the urgent situation in Hong Kong. Hong Kong's democracy is hoping to be established early, as it will require the US government to verify Hong Kong's advanced self-government every year. (Hong Kong = Yoshikazu Hirai)
