[London, Reuters]-British Prime Minister Rudd resigned on Monday, protesting Johnson's policy to leave the European Union. They also leave the ruling and conservative parties.
Mr. Rudd accused "21 of conservatives and democracy" of the expulsion of 21 conservative parliamentarians who cooperated with the opposition party to prevent dismissal without agreement. In a resignation letter submitted to the prime minister, he said, “Agreed withdrawal is no longer the main goal of the government.”
Mr. Rudd is a former interior minister. In the 2016 referendum, which asked whether or not to leave the EU, he voted for the EU.
According to the Sunday Times, at least six ministers resonate with Mr. Rudd and at least one is considering resignation.
