Baath University in Homs signed a cooperation agreement with the industrial city of Hassia today to establish a technology incubator in the city of Hassia to encourage creative ideas and provide job opportunities for university graduates.
Dr. Abdul Basit Al-Khatib, President of Al-Baath University, said that this agreement comes from the principle of linking the university with the practical reality and public and private institutions in order to develop the national economy and create national cadres with high scientific efficiency that can meet the needs of the local market.
Al-Khatib added that the importance of the agreement also comes as it contributes to informing students on the method of work in industrial facilities to link the theoretical study to practical reality through coordination with the institutions of the industrial city in terms of graduation projects and master's and doctoral theses of common interest.
In turn, Dr. Bassam Mansour, Director General of the Industrial City, said that the purpose of the incubator is to find solutions to engineering and industrial problems that hinder economic activities and provide technical and scientific consultations according to the required specializations, considering that the signing of the agreement will have a positive impact on the development of industry and scientific research.
