Nissan's chief executive, Hiroto Saikawa, key in the investigation that led to the prosecution in Japan of former president Carlos Ghosn, will leave the post on September 16, the company announced Monday. Saikawa's resignation came a few days after admitting that he and other senior Nissan executives were overpaid as part of a share-related payment plan.
