From all over the world, they came to Damascus to attend the Third International Trade Union Forum in solidarity with them carrying several messages confirming their support for Syria in its war on terrorism and their rejection of the Western economic siege imposed on it.

"We are here to provide support to Syria, which is fighting against barbarism," said Andre Himmel, member of the secretariat of the International Confederation of Agricultural and Food Trade Unions in France.

He pointed out the need to distinguish between the position of the French people on the one hand and the French government, which stands against the interests of its people on the other hand, calling for the restoration of relations between the two countries to the former because it is in the French interest in the first place and demanded to end any illegal presence of his country's forces on Syrian soil and provide support to the people To mitigate the effects of the war.

Dr. Ilhan Yegit, member of the leadership of the Central Committee of State Trade Unions in Turkey, said that the majority of the Turkish people oppose the policies of his government and appreciates the brotherly and friendly relations with the Syrian people and wishes him peace, expressing his condemnation of the imperialist policies against Syria.

In turn, Vice-President of the Egyptian Workers Union Khaled al-Feki said that the conference was a success and all the participants came to support the Syrian people and stand with him against terrorism, pointing out that Syria's strong stand in the face of terrorism, the army and people and leadership struggle recorded in history, expressing confidence in its victory despite the blockade .

Faki pointed out that Egypt's workers are ready to participate in the reconstruction of Syrian workers, noting the security and stability situation he touched during his visit to Syria.

Huda Al-Alousi, President of the Iraqi Textile Association, expressed her happiness to meet with the delegation of the participants in the meeting with President al-Assad, where he presented details of what is happening in Syria, pointing out that Syria has won thanks to the cohesion of the people and the leadership. .

Al-Alusi said that the participation of delegations in the forum came with the aim of confirming its support to Syria and solidarity with it to break the siege and said .. We saw a struggling people and preserved his country and this image that we will convey.

For his part, Secretary of External Relations of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Sudan Fadlallah Abdel Hafeez between the participation of the Sudanese delegation came to confirm support for the workers of Syria and its people who stand in the first line of defense against US imperialism.

A member of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Cuba, Alfredo Machado Lopez, stressed that the Cuban workers share the joy of the Syrian people by defeating terrorism and stand by Syria in the face of the unjust economic coercive measures that they and Cuba are subjecting. .

"Our country is waging economic terrorism against the rest of the world. It is our responsibility, as Americans, to listen to the people of countries affected by these sanctions and to seek, upon our return to the United States, to build a front that fights such policies," said Anya Barmble, a member of the US delegation.

"We had the privilege of meeting President Assad, who led his country at a difficult stage in the past years and listened to him as he explained the situation in the country. He was open to our questions and gave us many explanations."

From the US delegation, Paul Larudy said he and other members of his delegation were able to mobilize new solidarity groups from the United States, Canada and others to see the reality of the situation in Syria.

American journalist Max Blumenthal pointed out that the forum is an opportunity to see another side of Syria that some Americans do not want or cannot see because of the misinformation practiced by the American media. Refraining from interfering in the affairs of countries and stopping the policy of sanctions, which does not help anyone but cause difficulties for citizens of many countries of the world, stressing the need to work to break the economic blockade imposed on Syria.

In turn, a member of the Indian delegation at the forum, Pinoy Fishon, said that it is necessary to attend this forum to support the Syrian people and workers because the Western world fabricates and promotes many lies about Syria, considering that the Americans and Zionists want to see Syria weak because they know that its presence as a force will stand in the face of their political ambitions in the Arab region.

Dutch delegation member Robert Shamir explained that their participation in the forum allowed them to get acquainted with the views of many countries and their trade unions. "We realized that Syria is not alone in the war it faces," he said.

Shamir pointed out that he had visited Syria before and was pleased to meet President al-Assad today, who spoke to the participating delegations about the situation in Syria and said .. I will bring to my country a message that the situation in Syria is completely different from what they hear in the news and the international media.

A member of the Czech Republic delegation, Martin Peche, explained that he is visiting Syria for the second time.He represents a delegation from the Czech Trade Union, who, through participating in the forum, wishes to show his country's supportive stance towards Syria in the face of Western policies and to emphasize that Syria is not alone in the face of difficulties.

Bishah expressed his hope to restore the level of cooperation with Syria to what it was before the war and said: We are friends of Syria and we regret the situation resulting from the imperialist aggression against it and we affirm our support for it.

From the Russian delegation, President of the Russian Federation of Trade Unions Yevgeny Kulikov pointed out that his delegation is one of the largest delegations participating in the forum in solidarity with the Syrian people from all over the world.
