Minister of Tourism Mohammad Rami Radwan Martini met in Moscow today with Chairman of the Palestinian Orthodox Imperial Society Sergei Stepashin, Chairman of the Mufti Shura Council and Head of the Religious Administration of all Muslims in the Russian Federation Sheikh Rawi Ein Eddin.
During his meeting with Stepashin, Martini stressed the necessity of enhancing tourism relations between Syria and Russia through exchanging cultural, religious and other visits, pointing out the importance of establishing tourism projects and that cooperation between the two sides is beneficial to the peoples of both countries.
Minister Martini gave a presentation on Syria's ferocious war on various levels, especially the economic war that is being waged against it after the failure of the plans of the conspirators by supporting their tools from terrorist organizations.
For his part, the President of the Palestinian Orthodox Imperial Society asserted that the terrorist war was launched on Syria with external support and using murder and criminality organizations, pointing out that Syria defended itself and all human civilization.
The meeting was attended by Syrian Ambassador to Moscow Dr. Riad Haddad.
During another meeting with Sheikh Ain al-Din, Martini pointed out that Syria possesses all types of cultural, spiritual, religious, therapeutic and recreational tourism, stressing the need to increase exchanges in the field of visits between the Syrian and Russian peoples due to the similar social relations in the two countries.
Martini expressed appreciation for Russia's stances in support of Syria in confronting the terrorist war waged against it and the assistance it provides to the Syrian people, stressing the strengthening of the increasingly solid relations between the two countries.
In an interview with a SANA correspondent in Moscow, Martini said, `` During our meetings today, we talked about executive projects to attract visitors from Russian friends and explained to them the possibilities of the tourism sector in Syria and put forward the idea of starting pilot projects. ''
