[9th Reuters]-US Secretary of State Pompeo said yesterday that he expects a US-Japan trade agreement to be signed at the United Nations General Assembly this month in New York.
“The progress made towards the US-Japan trade agreement at the seven major countries (G7) summits will further strengthen the economic relationship between Japan and the United States,” said Pompeo, a post to Twitter.
The Secretary said that Japan and the United States have formed consensus in three areas: agricultural products, the digital economy, and industrial products, and "we are looking forward to an agreement at the United Nations General Assembly."
