A speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was disturbed by a rocket attack on Tuesday evening. The army said militant Palestinians had fired two rockets at Israel.

In the port city of Ashdod, where was just a campaign speech, howled the alarm sirens. According to the army, two missiles were intercepted by the Iron Dome (Iron Dome). Israeli rescue service Magen David Adom said there were no casualties. A 46-year-old woman in Ashdod was shocked and taken to the hospital.

A video shows how the 69-year-old quickly left the room during the rocket alarm, accompanied by bodyguards. Later, Netanyahu could continue his speech.

Israel elects a new parliament on 17 September. According to opinion polls, Netanyahu's right-wing conservative Likud and the Alliance of the Middle, blue and white, are close in the election. Netanyahu's political rivals repeatedly accuse him of not acting resolutely enough against the Hamas ruling in the Gaza Strip.
