[Abu Dhabi, 9th Reuters]-US Deputy Energy Secretary Bruyet said the US was "very concerned" about China's import of Iranian crude oil.

The deputy secretary said during the energy-related meetings in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), “I am very concerned about the Chinese people, especially the government ’s imports of crude oil from Iran.” Added that the case would be discussed with the Chinese government.

Last year, the United States withdrew from the Iran nuclear agreement that was established in 2015 and reintroduced sanctions against crude oil trade, which is the lifeline of Iran.
