(CNN Spanish) - At the meeting of the Organization of American States on Tuesday, Colombian Foreign Minister Carlos Holmes Trujillo presented alleged evidence of the Government's support of the questioned President Nicolás Maduro to armed dissident groups of the FARC and the ELN.
During his hectic intervention, Holmes Trujillo reiterated that the FARC dissent he announced would take up arms again, "is the creation of a new group of narcoterrorists that has the support, protection and sponsorship of Maduro."

So far, the Government of Maduro has not ruled on the statements of the Colombian Foreign Minister. However, on previous occasions, the Foreign Minister of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, dismissed the allegations of the Government of Colombia and described them as lies.
For his part, President Maduro said during the Sao Paulo Forum held in Caracas a few weeks ago that former FARC members Iván Márquez and Jesús Santrich are welcome “to Venezuela when they want to come”. Maduro also stated that both Marquez and Santrich are "peace leaders."
Holmes Trujillo culminated his participation by calling on the OAS to put in place tools and mechanisms for the defense of democracy in Venezuela.

“We will continue to work through political and diplomatic means, making complaints to international organizations for Venezuelans to live in democracy and freedom. Colombia is a country of peace, ”said the foreign minister of Colombia.
