The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) announced Wednesday that it has tested a sophisticated super-sized rocket launcher.
President Kim Jong-un personally supervised the missile test, which was aimed at "measuring the time required to deploy a rocket launcher," the DPRK said, adding another similar test was planned.
In August, the DPRK announced two tests to test a new weapon and a sophisticated missile launch system under the supervision of President Kim Jong Un.
The DPRK has always maintained that all its experiments are part of strengthening its self-defense capabilities in the face of open US hostile threats.
