(CNN) - Taco Bell is presenting a vegetarian section in its recently redesigned menu, which also includes two new items.

Starting this Thursday, the fast food chain will offer two new vegetarian items: a Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme and a Black Bean Quesarito. In addition, they continue their other two existing vegetarian options, which will be featured prominently in a new menu called "Vegetarian Favorites."

As customers are increasingly aware of their health, the changes make it easier for vegetarians to see their options, the company owned by Yum Brands explained earlier.

The nationwide expansion in the US of the new menu items at 7,000 Taco Bell restaurants in the country is produced after a test earlier this year. They are also planning a new advertising campaign to promote the new section.

In total, there are more than a dozen vegetarian items on the Taco Bell menu. They will present a new green emblem that shows the certification to Taco Bell of the American Vegetarian Association. It became the first and only fast food service chain to receive certification in 2015.

Taco Bell emphasized that non-vegetarian items can be made vegetarian by replacing beans with meat. The chain said its menu items "can be customized in more than 8 million ways" to fit a vegetarian diet.

Notably absent from the menu are products with alternative meats from Impossible or Beyond Meat. KFC, which is also owned by Yum Brands, tested a new plant-based chicken from Beyond Meat in Georgia.

Herbal meat alternatives have become popular in supermarkets and restaurants around the world, as people look for organic and healthy food to eat. Taco Bell said in a statement that he plans to "innovate even more in this growing space."

Other companies are trying to capitalize on diet-based resolutions. Chipotle launched “lifestyle bowls,” a new collection of foods that fit Paleo, Ketogenic and Whole30 diets.

Burger King began selling the Impossible Whopper, with a “meat without meat,” across the country in August. Perhaps invading the territory of Taco Bell, Burger King is also selling dollar tacos.
