He also pointed out that the defense and space sector complements the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) led by the United States. Many EU member countries also join NATO. “Our collective security organization will remain NATO,” he said.
The US supports the establishment of the defense and space sector, but stabs nails to keep US companies out of defense bids.
Britain is a major military power with France in Europe, but it plans to leave the EU. Germany supports France's attempt to identify the weaknesses of the European units and is trying to make up for the missing parts of the EU as a whole.
As China, Russia and the US develop space weapons that can stop other countries' missiles and air defense systems, the EU intends to jointly develop technology in space.
Under the plan, the development and purchase of weapons will be funded from a defense fund with a budget of 13 billion euros. The EU common budget is used for defense research. Each member country will contribute additional funds to expand its budget.
