Dr. Haytham Al-Husseini, Director of the General Authority of Damascus National Hospital “Al-Mujtahid” denied what is rumored through social media about a shortage of medicines in the hospital and not receiving ambulance cases, stressing that all this is untrue and that Al-Mujtahid Hospital continues to provide medical and ambulance services.
Al-Husseini said in a statement to SANA that Al-Mujtahed Hospital receives more than 2,000 patients from all Syrian governorates distributed all over the hospital departments, where there are 500 beds and a capacity of 100 percent daily and provides all necessary medical services.
Al-Husseini confirmed that Al-Mujtahid Hospital and its distinguished medical staff continue to work 24 hours and ambulance cases, as there are 12 ambulance rooms always busy and therefore there is no closure of the ambulance department or operations in the hospital, noting that those who visit the hospital sees this issue he did not stop previously and will not stop.
Al-Husseini explained that the rumors appear from time to time and claim that the mujtahed hospital suffers from a shortage of medicines and medical users or the interruption of some devices and this is not true despite the existence of some problems that sometimes occur as a result of external pressures such as the lack of import drugs or difficulty in the maintenance of certain devices leading to Lack of some analyzes or some materials so the patient is required to provide them, stressing that this does not mean not to provide medical service and medical examination and medical procedures, but all that is in the hospital.
