China on Saturday launched three satellites from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China's Shanxi Province.
The three satellites were launched aboard the Long March 4B carrier rocket, Xinhua news agency said.
The ZY1 02D Resource Satellite will provide monitoring data for natural resource asset management, ecological monitoring, control, disaster prevention, environmental protection, urban construction and transport and emergency management.
One other small satellite belongs to the Beijing Normal University, while a private space technology company based in Shanghai owns the second.
