Damascus, (SANA) - The governorate of Damascus announced the reopening of Qassioun road from Dhi Qar Square roundabout of Al-Shami Hospital towards the soldier's edifice

Damascus governorate announced the reopening of Qassioun road from Dhi Qar Square roundabout Al-Shami Hospital towards the Unknown Soldier after completion of rehabilitation and maintenance.

The Director of Maintenance in Damascus Governorate, Mohammad Hamamiya, said in a statement to SANA that the rehabilitation and maintenance of the Qassioun road was completed in both directions. In the way of the Knoll was returned as it was back and forth.

It is noteworthy that the rehabilitation work also included the maintenance of lighting poles for the entire Qassioun road starting from the roundabout of Al-Shami Hospital to the Unknown Soldier, installing new lighting poles, replacing the ground cables for the columns and the extension of cables for decorative lighting in the gardens of Al-Munsif along the way.

Rehabilitation of gardens, bishops and green squares along the road, weeding agricultural ponds and roads, pruning trees on both sides of the road, cutting and mowing plant fences technically and planting jasmine grass on the outskirts of large green squares, especially the Unknown Soldier Square.

The governorate of Damascus started the rehabilitation and maintenance of Qassioun road on the seventeenth of last month and set a period of one month to complete the work.
