The branch of the Social Aid Fund in Sweida announced the introduction of 20 new lending targets for the Rural Empowerment Program for financing micro projects through the Agricultural Cooperative Bank and its branches in the governorate
In a statement to SANA correspondent today, the Fund's branch manager Nabiha Saab said that the new lending targets included projects related to manufacturing rose water and aluminum, manufacturing circuits, electric boards, compost composting, confectionery kitchens, block presses, children's entertainment centers, clothing factories, coffee mills, carpentry workshops, motor repair, painting, corrugating and shoe manufacturing. Electrical and sanitary ware shops, repair of electrical and mechanical tools, cutting and installation of glass.
Saab pointed out that these goals are added to the previously established, which include projects on the cultivation of mushrooms, bread of tourist enlightenment and the manufacture of pickles and jams of all kinds, dairy and cheese, fruit drying, grain packing and breeding of laying hens and bees, fattening calves and sheep, crushing and screening of fodder, hand-made carpets industry, sewing and blacksmithing, and the lubricant and car wash.
Saab said that funding under the Rural Empowerment Program is made under loans with a ceiling of 2 million pounds and a repayment period ranging between three and four years at an interest rate of 10 percent. Months and fattening sheep six months.
