Sweida-Sana
The Syrian Company for the manufacture of grapes in Sweida has set on the 15th of this month a date to start receiving the production of juicy grapes from farmers for the current season.
The Director General of the company Eng. Fadi Choucair told SANA that the reception of the crop will take place on a daily basis and that the company is ready to receive all quantities provided to it at the price of 125 pounds per kilogram.
Choucair pointed out that the company equipped machines and mash lines, fermentation and distillation to work, pointing out that the total quantities of grapes marketed from farmers during the last season 5800 tons.
The Directorate of Agriculture Sweida estimated the total production of the province of grape fruits for the current season at 44,555 thousand tons.
