Under the auspices of President Bashar al-Assad, Dr. Najah al-Attar, Vice President of the Republic, inaugurated the 31st session of the Book Fair at the Assad National Library this evening.
Six countries - Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt, Oman, Iran and Denmark - are participating in the current edition of the book, "Book Based on Mind".
The exhibition will also witness signing ceremonies for about 400 books, as well as a rich and varied cultural program that includes a film festival for Syrian and foreign films, celebration of the personality of the exhibition philosopher poet Abu Ala Al-Maari, as well as intellectual seminars, art exhibitions, manuscripts, poetry and stories for Syrian and Arab writers.
