PARIS (Reuters) - A massive strike by transport workers paralyzed public transport in Paris and its region on Monday in protest at a pension amendment planned by President Emmanuel Macron's government.
According to the public transport company (RATP), "this strike caused the closure of ten lines of transport in the subway in addition to the disruption of other transport lines, including (RER) railway."
The strike also affected bus and electric train connections.
RATP workers are protesting an amendment to the pension law planned for next year that will increase the length of work before retirement.
