A photographer from Discovery Networks Latin America is murdered in Acapulco

(CNN Spanish) - A photographer member of the Discovery Networks Latin America team is murdered in Acapulco. Through a message on its official Facebook page, the television company lamented the death of its collaborator, Erick Castillo Sánchez, and sent condolences to his family.

Castillo Sánchez died in the city of Acapulco on Thursday, in what the Prosecutor of the State of Guerrero presumes was an attempted robbery. The judicial body also informed that an investigation folder has already been opened for this crime and that the victim's wife, who witnessed the incident, is already receiving precautionary measures.

The first investigations of the Prosecutor's Office ensure that the purpose of the criminals was to steal the vehicle in which the couple was moving. Everything happened in the parking lot of a convenience store.

Erick Castillo Sánchez was 47 years old and was a photography director for Discovery Networks Latin America.
