Paris (CNN) - Mohammed bin Salman's sister, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, was found guilty of ordering a bodyguard to beat and humiliate a local master craftsman who was renovating his luxurious apartment in Paris three years ago.

Emmanuel Moyne, Hassa's lawyer, told CNN: "With great disbelief and indignation we received ... this trial."

Moyne added that he would appeal the decision and prove that the princess is "totally innocent of the accusations made against her."

Eid said earlier that he was working in a bathroom in the department of the exclusive Avenue Foch in Paris, owned by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, and took photographs of the furniture "as a reference" when he noticed the reflection of the princess in mirror.

An investigative judge tried to contact the princess several times but was unable to contact her, and finally issued an international arrest warrant for her in 2017.
