Lattakia concluded today the Republic Badminton Championship for the youth and young women and men and young women held by the Federation of the game in the sports city of Assad with the participation of about 120 players representing all the provinces of the country except Daraa and Deir Ezzor.

In the junior championship, Ali Al Kaoud was crowned from Al-Hasakah in first place, Yara Al-Sawas category from Homs and young women category.

The head of the Badminton Federation, Khuloud Bitar, told SANA Sports correspondent in Latakia that the tournament is the last activity of the year and was good in all respects and strong competitions in various categories as a result of the wide participation from all governorates, where the number of participants 120 players.

In turn, supervisor of the championship Eitan Ahmed confirmed that the tournament was successful by all technical, organizational, arbitration and administrative standards and its level is very good, especially in the junior and junior categories and emerged a group of promising materials that will have a strong footprint in the Arab and Asian championships in the future.

Mohieddin Khudari, head of the competitions committee, said that the competitions were strong in various categories and revealed the presence of good raw materials.

At the end of the tournament, medals and trophies were distributed to the top three players.
