One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting incident at a railway station in the US city of Seattle.
"A gunman wearing a black vest shot three people at the North Pound platform at West Lake Station, killing one and injuring the other," the Seattle Times quoted Seattle police as saying.
US police cordoned off the railway station and trains were suspended as the hunt began.
The New York Times revealed earlier this month that 51 people were killed in shootings in the United States last August alone.
The United States is witnessing a dramatic rise in shootings and hate crimes after racial discrimination has become more visible in American society because of President Donald Trump's discriminatory policies against Americans of different ethnic origin.
