Tal Salhab Sugar Company has completed the financial reconciliation and billing of the sugar beet crops received from the farmers of the governorate for the current season.
Ibrahim Abdul Karim Nasra, General Manager of the company, said that the final quantities of sugar beet marketed to the factory amounted to 110 thousand tons, mostly from the peasants of the jungle area with a total value of 237 million pounds. Disbursed to the beneficiaries through the branches of the Agricultural Bank at a price of 25 thousand pounds per ton.
In its investment plan, Tal Salhab Sugar Company set up a soft bread yeast plant with a production capacity of 50 tons per day to supply the local market and furnaces with yeast in addition to operating a number of manpower, in addition to adding a line for refining raw sugar with a production capacity of about 350 tons per day.
