Polls closed in Tunisia's presidential election this evening.
Tunisian media quoted Nabil Bafoun, head of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), as telling a news conference: "The turnout in the country was 35 percent, just an hour before polling stations were closed."
The Election Commission has allocated 4,554 polling stations with 13,000 polling stations inside the country, while 304 polling stations have opened abroad, including 384 polling stations in 46 countries.
