The Russian General Staff announced today that it began to monitor the movements of the US military ship "Yuma" after entering the waters of the Black Sea yesterday evening.
"The forces and media belonging to the Black Sea Fleet are continuously tracking the American ship," the Russian National Defense Administration Center said in a statement carried by Russia Today.
Yuma is a Spearhead military transport vessel with multi-purpose, non-combat vessels, whose mission is to rapidly transport troops, cargo and military equipment, including M1 Abramas tanks, to supply and carry out humanitarian operations.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced earlier this month that the Black Sea Fleet forces are monitoring the movements of NATO ships that entered the waters of the Black Sea to participate in naval exercises there.
