"The longest war ever"
The conflict in Afghanistan has become a bog. Rebel Taliban and the US Trump administration fighting with troops stationed in the country reached a basic peace agreement through talks until one day, but Mr. Trump declared the talks canceled on the 7th. There is no prospect of peace.
Afghanistan, where conflicts have continued intermittently since the 1970s under the Cold War. The current conflict began in 2001. For the United States, it has become the “longest war in history”, surpassing the Vietnam War.
The trigger was the terrorist attacks that occurred in the United States on September 11 of the same year.
The United States found out that Bin Laden suspected of the international terrorist organization “Al-Qaeda”, who led the case, was hiding in Afghanistan, and asked the Taliban administration to hand over. He also pointed out that Al-Qaeda trained fighters under the protection of the Taliban.
