(CNN) - Tropical storm Humberto is already a hurricane, according to the most recent update of the United States National Hurricane Center (NHC).
Humberto winds are currently maintained at 75 miles per hour (120 kilometers per hour) and moves northeastward, away from the US coast.
The northwest of the Bahamas could still see additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5 centimeters) "from the outer bands of the storm with localized amounts up to 6 inches (15 centimeters)."
Large swells and currents will also be felt along the shores of the Bahamas, as well as in the southeastern United States. There are currently no additional threats to the US coast due to this hurricane.
