Brett Kavanaugh has been a Supreme Court judge for one year, despite allegations of sexual assault. The New York Times rewrites the case in a book - and US President Donald Trump lays claim to criticizing the newspaper. "Can you believe what those terrible people are doing and saying," Trump wrote on Twitter about the tide. He suggested that the newspaper should be "sued".
Already on Sunday, Trump had angrily responded to the New York Times reporting on Kavanaugh, who was nominated by him last year, and recommended that the judge take legal action against the paper.

Critics call for impeachment proceedings
Representatives of the opposition party had demanded new investigations into the allegations against Kavanaugh, according to the latest article in the New York Times. The presidential candidates Julian Castro and Kamala Harris even demanded impeachment proceedings against the judge.
