[Washington, 16th Reuters]-President Trump revealed on the 16th that he has reached a tentative agreement with Japan on tariff barriers.
In a letter to the parliament issued by the White House, President Trump indicated his intention to reach an agreement with Japan on tariff barriers over the next few weeks. He also indicated a policy to conclude an administrative agreement with Japan on digital trade.
In August, President Trump and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced that they had reached a broad agreement on trade negotiations between the United States and Japan at the summit of the seven major countries (G7) in France. He said he was aiming for a signature in September.
