[Washington, 15th Reuters]-Following a 14-day attack on Saudi oil facilities, US President Trump announced on May 15 that he had approved the release of US strategic oil reserves as needed.
In light of the possibility that this attack will affect crude oil prices, the president has posted to Twitter that he has approved the release of strategic oil reserves if necessary. The amount of release is uncertain, but the amount will maintain the ample supply of the market.
The president further announced that he has instructed relevant authorities to accelerate the approval of oil pipelines that are undergoing approval in Texas and other countries.
