The Tunisian Supreme Electoral Commission announced that the candidate Qais Said is leading the results of the presidential elections with 18.40% of the votes, while candidate Nabil Karoui received 15.58%.
Tunisian media quoted the commission as saying today that a run-off will be held between Said and Karoui.
According to the Tunisian election law, if neither candidate receives a 50 percent plus one majority, the two candidates with the most votes will move to another round of presidential elections.
