[Singapore 17th Reuters]-Non-oil sector exports in August announced by the Singapore Business Administration (Enterprise Singapore) on August 17 decreased by 8.9% year-on-year, marking the sixth consecutive month of decline.
However, it did not drop as much as the analyst estimate (reduced 12.2%) compiled by Reuters.
Electronic equipment exports fell 25.9%, and the decline was noticeable.
July (revised value) decreased by 11.4%.
Seasonally adjusted month-on-month increase by 6.7%. July (revised value) increased 3.5%. Analysts forecast was up 2.5%.
Non-oil sector exports to China increased by 38.5% in August. Meanwhile, the majority for other major exporting countries declined.
