[Washington 17 Reuters]-US Vice President Pence is scrutinizing evidence that suggests Iran's involvement in the Saudi Arabian oil facility attack on the weekend on the 17th. He said he was prepared to protect the interests of his allies.
Vice President Pence said about the Saudi attack, "We have verified all the evidence and are discussing with allies. President Trump will decide the best strategy within a few days."
He stressed, “The United States will take the actions necessary to defend the United States and the US military and allies in the Gulf region.”
He warned that if Iran launched this Saudi attack aimed at mitigating US sanctions, the strategy would fail.
Iran has denied any involvement in attacks on the Saudi oil facility. President Trump says he is not ready for war, but says he is ready for war.
According to Pence, US Secretary of State Pompeo will visit Saudi Arabia today to discuss the response to the attack.
