The Federal Government has extended the arms export ban for Saudi Arabia for another six months until March 31, 2020. This was announced by a government spokesman on Wednesday in Berlin.
Until then, in principle, no new applications would be approved. The embargo was imposed last autumn after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul.
