Tehran-Sana
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi has rejected allegations that Iran was behind the recent attacks on oil facilities belonging to the Saudi regime.
"It seems difficult for some countries like Saudi Arabia and America to accept the fact that the oppressed Yemeni people were able to possess such a defensive force to such an extent that after five years of aggression they could not," Moussaoui said. Overcoming the Yemenis is therefore natural to try to accuse Iran in order to cover their inability to Yemen. ”
"Iran has always supported the political resolution of the conflicts in the region, including the daily brutal attacks on the Yemeni people," Mousavi said, reiterating his country's position that attacks on children and women in Yemen should be stopped.
"Iran considers the reaction of the Yemeni people to these crimes as normal. While we reject the accusations against us, we draw the attention of world public opinion to the crimes committed in Yemen and hope that they will be brought to an end," Mousavi said.
Earlier in the day, Iran, in a political note addressed to the US government through the Swiss embassy in Tehran, refused to accuse it of attacking Saudi oil installations, stressing that "its response would be harsh and immediate to any possible aggression against it."
