[Washington, 17th Reuters]-US House of Transportation and Infrastructure Commission officially gives testimony on airliner "737MAX" to Denis Mühlenberg CEO of aircraft giant Boeing <BA.N> Requested.
The aircraft has been suspended due to two accidents since October 2018, and a total of 346 people have died.
The committee's chairman, Peter Defazio, also asked John Hamilton, Boeing's chief engineer in the commercial aircraft sector. Mr. Murenberg and Mr. Hamilton are being asked to testify on October 30th.
Last week, Mr. DeFazio asked Mr. Müllenberg for multiple employees to listen as part of a parliamentary survey on the design, development and certification of 737MAX.
Boeing representatives in a statement announced that they received a testimony from the committee and are currently considering it. “We will continue to work with Congress and regulators while aiming to safely resume 737MAX services.”
