46 educational institutions participate in the sixth international exhibition of higher education and training

Damascus, (SANA) - With the participation of 46 universities, educational institutions and national, Arab and foreign academic institutions, the exhibition started today

With the participation of 46 universities and educational institutions and national and Arab and foreign academy kicked off this evening the sixth international exhibition of higher education and training in the fair city of Damascus.

Following his tour of the exhibition, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, Minister of Higher Education, told the media that the exhibition is an opportunity to introduce the major disciplines taught by public, private and international universities in the first university and postgraduate studies, education systems, tuition fees and university services.

Alexander Samonich, Director of International Cooperation at the Belarusian Ministry of Higher Education, said that 11 Belarusian universities are participating in the exhibition, out of a desire to increase cooperation between the two countries in the scientific field.

Samar Bawat of Tishreen University pointed out that the aim of the participation is to introduce students to the 17 faculties in the university covering different specializations. This has a role in meeting the desire of many to join a virtual education system via the Internet to suit their circumstances.

Dr. Mohammad Jamali from Aleppo University pointed out the importance of the exhibition as it coincides with the new students' enrollment in universities. It is important to publicize them and highlight the faculties they hold.

On the participation of the Syrian University of Antioch, Sarah Latifa, director of public relations at the university that the university through its participation in the exhibition aims to acquaint students with a high school diploma on the colleges and the advantages offered to its students and the exchange of experiences with the universities participating in the exhibition.

According to Anas Zebian, General Manager of Masarat Company for Exhibitions and Conferences, the four-day exhibition aims to inform students, visitors and interested people about the most prominent universities and institutes located along the Syrian, Arab and foreign geography, especially from Belarus, Malaysia, Lebanon and Jordan.

A number of students visiting the exhibition stressed its importance in terms of introducing the study opportunities available to them, noting the large number of participating universities and the diversity of presentations.
