Lebanese Defense Minister Elias Bou Saab described the Israeli aggression that targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut last month as the most serious violation of UN Resolution 1701, pointing out that the Israeli attacks have become different.

Two hostile drones landed over residential neighborhoods in Beirut's southern suburb on August 25, in flagrant violation of Lebanese sovereignty.

In a press conference held at the Lebanese Ministry of Defense today on the results of the investigation into the said aggression, Bou Saab said that the two Israeli planes departed from Hamonim Airport, one of them was carrying 4.5 kilograms of explosives and the second had 4 arms and 8 engines. UAV) escorted the two planes for the purpose of the attack in Beirut. ”

Abu Saab stressed that the Israeli aggression was not the first violation of resolution 1701, but the most serious since the July 2006 aggression on Lebanon, as he "adopted the change of rules of engagement with Lebanon," noting that the Israeli enemy has been conducting the process of aggression since its inception by air, sea and through all its organs.

Bou Saab stressed that Lebanon will respond to any Israeli aggression and that the Lebanese army has a clear and permanent decision to defend Lebanon.
