In the light of the Israeli occupation authorities' violations and aggression against Palestinian prisoners inside their detention centers amid international silence, dozens of prisoners continue for several days to fight the empty bowel hunger strike to reject these inhuman violations against them, especially deliberate medical negligence.

Human rights reports documented the evidence of the crimes committed by the occupation against the 6,000 prisoners from preventing visits and isolation and the lack of treatment for patients, including life-threatening, which is contrary to the Fourth Geneva Convention in 1949 and resulted in the impunity of the occupation and accountability and prosecution by international courts.

Amjad al-Najjar, director of the Palestinian Prisoners Club in the West Bank city of Hebron, demanded during a solidarity pause in the city with the striking prisoners the International Red Cross to assume its responsibilities and pressure the occupation authorities to release the prisoners, noting that there are about 150 prisoners joined the open hunger strike.

Al-Najjar stressed that the situation is very dangerous and can increase the number of prisoners striking inside the detention centers of the occupation significantly because of arbitrary practices against prisoners, pointing out that the occupation is holding five bodies of martyrs.

A member of the Central Committee of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Ahmed Abu al-Saud said in a statement to SANA correspondent that the prisoners inside the detention centers are fighting a legendary battle of steadfastness.

Abul Saud asserted that the Israeli authorities' denial of the prisoners' families' visits is a flagrant violation of all international conventions and conventions, calling on the world to support the prisoners in the just battle they are fighting for their freedom and dignity.

Chairman of the Association of Prisoners and Editors Mowaffaq Hamid explained that 200 prisoners will join the battle of dignity and freedom next week to join the prisoners on hunger strike, some of which have passed for more than two months if the occupation continues its violations against them, especially medical negligence, torture and isolation.

Hamid pointed out that the health conditions of the prisoners on hunger strike are very critical and some of them have lost their senses of hearing and others are threatened by death.

Tareq Abu Shalouf, spokesman for the Jerusalem Dialogue Foundation for the Martyrs, stressed that the prisoners are living in harsh conditions of detention and that the battle of the empty intestine will be extended to all the detainees, pointing to the presence of 700 sick prisoners in critical condition and in need of urgent treatment. their lives.

Some 6,000 Palestinian prisoners are facing harsh detention conditions in the Israeli occupation, where 1800 prisoners suffer from various diseases due to the spread of epidemics and germs, including about 700 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention, especially cases of cancer, kidney failure and paraplegia.
