Iran's permanent representative to the international organizations in Vienna, Kazem Gharibabadi, reiterated Iran's support for the Middle East free of nuclear weapons, pointing out that the Zionist entity constitutes the biggest obstacle in achieving this goal.
Speaking at the 63rd General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Gharib Abadi welcomed the decision to include two topics on the Zionist entity's nuclear energies and the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free Middle East. A demand for many regional countries and from 1980 until today, many resolutions were passed without a vote.
The Iranian representative stressed that the commitment of the international community to the Convention on Nuclear Disarmament as well as the implementation of the Safeguards Agreement at the international level, particularly in the Middle East, contributed effectively to the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone.
Gharib Abadi said that the "serious risks arising from Israel's secret nuclear energies that threaten the security of neighboring countries and other countries are overlooked by certain countries," calling for sustained pressure on the Zionist entity to be included without preconditions to the Convention on Nuclear Disarmament and put all its activities Its secret nuclear facilities are under IAEA control.
