Year after year, the exhibition of Al-Assad Library is increasing in terms of the number, variety and quality of titles and publishing houses on the one hand and the organization and the number of visitors on the other.

SANA surveyed a number of visitors from different age and cultural categories, where Shamiram Makdis, who came from Aleppo, described the exhibition as distinguished because it includes large and international publishing houses, where the visitor finds a large space to see books and choose what suits his taste.

Because Makdis writes the story, she prefers novels and short stories and has noticed a large percentage of the various books in which she found her.

Engineer Maha Al Shawa pointed out that the exhibition is full of visitors in addition to the presence of various titles of children's books to the highest levels, noting the intensity of the presence of visitors in all pavilions.

Mohammed Al Rifai visited the book fair with his family to buy books that suit each one and that he is a regular visitor to the exhibition to see new publications and encourages his children to acquire useful books, noting that he prefers cultural and religious books and that the exhibition this year more organized and diverse.

His child Baraa Ben that he prefers the books of history heroes and our heroes in the Arab-Islamic history to represent them and take them as role models in his life in addition to scientific books.

Technical supervisor of Osama Ramez Haj Hussein magazine explained that there is a good movement from the Syrian family towards the book, where we see in the exhibition parents with their children in the restoration of traditional weather in the book fair, pointing to the rush of visitors on the publications of the Ministry of Culture, which takes care of its publications, especially with regard to children stories and magazines Osama and Shama.

Hussein noted the development of the exhibition from last year in the number of houses and book titles and diversity, in addition to the obvious crowding of visitors, due to the increased media promotion of the exhibition in various means.

Olaf Yaghi, a teacher at the University of Damascus, confirmed that the exhibition this year was wonderful and characterized by a large turnout from publishing houses to participate, expressing her happiness for the existence of such cultural gatherings in a large edifice such as Al-Assad Library where people combine a valuable link is the book because the paper reading is the basis and reference and has a special flavor Drawing information.

The Palestinian prisoner, Ali Mohammed, was present in the General Secretariat of the Palestinian Writers Union. He explained that he is participating in this exhibition for the first time with a collection of books prepared and written by prisoners in Israeli jails.

The poet Radwan Kassem participated in two poetry collections “Faa Ana” and included national poems concerning the Palestinian cause and the second titled “Teach Me the Words of Water” from the publications of the Syrian General Book Association.
