Thirty people were killed and 40 others wounded in a wrong air strike by Afghan forces in eastern Afghanistan.
The Reuters news agency quoted three Afghan officials as saying that "the air strike, which was carried out last night was aimed at destroying a hideout used by ISIS terrorists, but missed its target, killing 30 farmers near a field."
Sohrab Qadri, a member of the provincial council in the eastern Nangarhar province, said a strike by drones killed 30 farmers in a pine field and wounded at least 40 others.
The Afghan Defense Ministry in Kabul confirmed the raid, without giving further details.
