[Washington 19th Reuters]-US Secretary of Agriculture Purdue announced on the 19th that a Chinese official in trade talks with the US will visit the US agricultural area next week with US officials. The aim is to deepen friendship while the two countries are negotiating.
Purdue said, “China officials want to visit the field of agricultural production. They want to deepen their friendship.” The tour will be attended by the representative of the Light Heiser Trade Representative (USTR) and Treasury Secretary Mnushin. However, it did not clarify where to visit.
Prior to this, the CNBC reported that the group would visit Bozeman, Montana and Omaha, Nebraska.
The US and China started a vice-level trade talk in Washington on that day.
